1.2 – Drive Belt

Examine the drive belt to see if it’s broken or if it’s slipping off the pulleys. Replace the drive belt if it is broken or loose.

1.3 – Coupling for motors

The motor coupling connects the motor to the transmission in the washing machine. The motor coupling will fail if the washer is overloaded, protecting both the motor and the transmission. Normal wear can also cause the motor coupling to fail. Examine the motor coupling to see if it is damaged. Replace the motor coupling if it is broken.

2. During the Wash Cycle, Make a Loud Noise

 

2.1 – Tub Bearing

In the middle of the outer tub, the tub bearing is installed. The inner tub is kept spinning smoothly by the tub bearing. Replacing the tub bearing is a time-consuming task that necessitates disassembling the washer in its entirety. We recommend replacing both the outer tub and the tub bearing if the tub bearing is faulty.

2.2 – Rear Drum with Bearing

3. The Whirlpool Washer Will Not Agitate

 

3.1 – Agitator Repair Kit

Replace the agitator repair kit if the washer won’t agitate. The agitator components most likely to wear out and/or fail are included in this kit. Replace the kit if any of the parts are damaged, worn out, or stripped.

3.2 – Drive Block

The washer transmission is connected to the agitator via the drive block. The transmission shaft will continue to move back and forth if the drive block is worn out, but the agitator will only move very slightly or not at all. Check for damage on the drive block. Replace the drive block if it is damaged, worn out, or stripped.

3.3 – Drive Belt

Examine the drive belt to see if it’s broken or if it’s slipping off the pulleys. Replace the drive belt if it is broken or loose.
